Police Chief Simulator Guides

From the first trash bag to a staffed precinct in Winston Springs.

Guides Hub

This hub is the map of every Police Chief Simulator guide on the wiki. The full Steam build is scheduled for 17 September 2026. Until then, chiefs learn the job in the free Prologue and the larger Demo: restore a wrecked county station, stamp civilian reports, and slowly push law back into Winston Springs.

If you only open one page today, start with Getting Started. It walks the first hour in order — power, trash, furniture, pawn-shop gear, then the stamp desk — so you do not skip the lever that actually opens the lobby.

First hour

New players search for “how to play” because the opening looks like a renovation sim. That is deliberate. Perfect Circle Team built a from-zero-to-hero loop: you personally bag garbage, place desks, and answer Sheriff Ron Dunn on the rotary phone before anyone else will work a shift for you.

Use these three pages in sequence:

Keep the first-day checklist on a second monitor. It is a short punch list, not a story guide.

The desk that pays you

Money and reputation come from accepted case files faxed to HQ, not from looking busy. The solve cases guide is the page most Demo players needed after their first shift. Green stamp valid reports, red-stamp errors with a marked cause, shred rejects, and never drop a reject on the detective scanner.

When a file is worth investigating yourself, the detective room evidence board is a string-and-photo minigame. That loop is also in the solve-cases page, including how to abort a stuck board with the red wipe button.

Staff, streets, and the county

Once the lobby no longer needs you on every form, hire officers, detectives, and office workers so the station can run while you leave the building. The Winston Springs map covers districts, patrol units, and the Shadow’s Gang goal described on the Steam page for the full game.

The beginner tips page is a mistakes list: TAB inventory, magnifying-glass energy, delivery barriers, and why the old patrol car matters in later news posts. For the cruiser itself — damage, workshop waits, and fence-breaking teasers — use patrol car. For a Demo-and-Prologue verdict, use the review.

Guides sit next to launch tracking. Read release date and roadmap if you are deciding whether to wait for 17 September. Compare Prologue versus full game before you judge the title by the trash-bag opening. Confirm system requirements and bookmark official links (Steam, Discord, studio YouTube).

Winston Springs is shared with Garage Monkeys’ Car Dealer Simulator. The universe page explains what that crossover actually means — same town, not the same job.

How this wiki is organised

Every guide below this hub links to its siblings in the same dropdown. If you arrived from a search for controls, you should still see a path into cases, renovation, and hiring. If you arrived from a search for “Police Chief” without “Simulator,” double-check the studio name: this site is only Perfect Circle Team S.A., Steam app 2938460, Windows, single-player.

Use the Guides Hub whenever a page feels too narrow. Use the Updates Hub for dates. Use the Tools Hub for PC checks and checklists. Use the Links Hub when you want the developer, not another guide.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Which Police Chief Simulator guide should I read first?

Start with Getting Started, then how to solve cases. Add controls if the inventory or placement mode is fighting you.

Are these guides for the Prologue, the Demo, or the full game?

They are written from Prologue and Demo play, plus official Steam copy for the 17 September 2026 full launch. Where a feature is full-game only, the page says so.

Is there a codes or scripts section?

No. This is a paid Steam simulator with a free intro, not a Roblox title. Track news on the updates hub instead.
